AIM-HI Summer Camp General
AIM HI is a five day overnight summer program for 6th-12th grade mainstreamed students who are deaf or hard of hearing and use spoken language to communicate. The purpose of the program is to enhance communication skills and expand academic success in a "holistic" fashion. Campers have an opportunity to participate in a variety of activities that stimulate interaction, cooperation, and communication, leading to improved social skills. Campers are paired with experienced camp staff and are supervised by audiologists and speech-language pathologists experienced in working with children with hearing loss. AIM HI is underwritten in part by the generosity of the Arkansas Optimist Hearing Foundation.
