You will notice that CME credits are available for some of the Grand Rounds videos in this series, in compliance with requirements of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). Accreditation: The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Credit Designation: The UAMS College of Medicine designates each archived Grand Rounds presentation that has been approved for CME in this series, for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s)™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Non-physicians will earn a Certificate of Participation which will indicate the number of hours spent in the activity.

Instructions: To earn up to 1 credit for each archived Pediatric Grand Rounds presentation approved for CME, view the video recording of the presentation and examine the associated slides. Thereafter, complete the post-test and the evaluation. Your credit certificate will be available for printing immediately before leaving the activity. Participation is confidential.

Target Audience: The UAMS Department of Pediatrics CME program targets a diverse audience of learners. The audience is comprised primarily of Pediatricians and Family Practice Physicians, Residents and Students. These presentations were designed to enhance the knowledge and competency of health care providers who care for children.

Navigation Instructions

Estimated Time to Complete Each Activity: Approximately 1 hour is needed to complete this activity. The evaluation is comprised of (10) questions and the post-test is comprised of 5 to 10 questions. The certificate will be available for printing after both evaluation and post-test are completed.

  • You can search on any keyword if you know the lecture you want to view, or they are listed in descending date order.

  1. Once you have selected the lecture to view, click the title of the conference to start the video viewer.

To Receive CME Credit:

  1. At end of the broadcast, close video viewer.
  2. Click “links” on Menu webpage
  3. Click “Disclosures” to view the speaker disclosure.

  1. Click “CME CREDIT AVAILABLE”

  1. After reading Disclosure Policy and Accreditation, click “Please take me to the post-test”

  1. The First time you access the website you will be required to create a profile. Once you complete the profile, you will use your email address as your userid. If you have a Meditech ID with Arkansas Children’s Hospital, you can log in using that userid and password.

  1. Logging in will take you to registration page for the course. Click “Submit”.
  2. Follow any instructions provided.

  1. To take the post test and receive your CME certificate, click “here” to take the online post test. You must achieve an 80% on the post-test to receive your CME certificate. You may retake the test if necessary.
  2. Complete the post-test questions, submit.

  1. Click ‘Here’ to receive and print your CME certificate.

Example of Certificate:

If you lose your certificate or need to reprint it, you can log onto the Training System and print a copy of the certificate or print a copy of your entire transcript. Also, the UAMS Office of CME will be able to provide you with your official transcript.
