    Physician Bio

    Dr. Amit Agarwal is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) and Arkansas Children's Hospital (ACH). Dr. Agarwal serves as co-director of Arkansas Aero digestive clinic and Pediatric Pulmonary hypertension clinic (multispecialty clinics). Dr. Agarwal received his medical degree from India, Delhi University in 1999. He completed his residency training in pediatrics at universities first at Maulana Azad Medical College in Delhi, India and second one at Michigan State University, Michigan in 2008. He completed his fellowship training in Pediatric Pulmonology at Arkansas Children's Hospital in 2011. In 2011 Dr. Agarwal joined the Pulmonary Medicine as a full time faculty member here at Arkansas Children's Hospital.

    Dr. Agarwal is currently board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Pulmonology. He is a member and fellow of American Academy of Pediatrics, American Thoracic Society, American College of Chest Physicians, and Arkansas Medical Society.

    Areas of Interest

    Primary Clinical Interest: Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia, Aero Digestive Problems, pulmonary Hypertension, Interstitial Lung Disease, Cystic Fibrosis, and Asthma.

    Special Interests Include: Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia in children with pulmonary hypertension secondary to lung disease.
