    Physician Bio

    Dr. Boban P. Abraham is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Internal Medicine in the section of Pediatric Cardiology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Arkansas Children's Hospital.

    Dr. Abraham received his medical degree from Thiruvananthapuram Medical College, Kerala University, India in 2002. He then studied Internal Medicine-Pediatrics at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as well as at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas, completing his combined residency in 2009. He remained in Little Rock for his fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at Arkansas Children's Hospital, which he finished in 2012 and subsequently joined staff as Assistant Professor in the section of Pediatric Cardiology at ACH. He has also completed an advanced fellowship in Pediatric-Congenital Interventional Cardiology at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta-Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

    Following completion of his formal training in 2014, Dr. Abraham re-joined the staff at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences where he currently specializes in interventional procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Arkansas Children's Hospital. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology. Dr. Abraham is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Heart Association, the American College of Cardiology, and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. His primary research interest is advancement of minimally invasive, interventional treatments for congenital – pediatric heart diseases and outcome evaluation.
