    Physician Bio

    Dr. Lanessa D. Bass is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) and Arkansas Children's Hospital. She also serves as one of the associate program directors for the Pediatric Residency program with a focus on curriculum and education. As a hospitalist, she serves as medical director for the 4B Adolescent and 4C Medical Units.

    Dr. Bass completed her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in 2002. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at UAMS in 2005. She also received a Masters of Education for Healthcare professionals from the University of Cincinnati in 2012. She is board certified in General Pediatrics though the American Board of Pediatrics.

    Dr. Bass has been selected as one of Arkansas Best Doctors in General Pediatrics from 2009-2013. She has been awarded two Red Sash Awards as selected by the medical students and an Educator of the Year Award from the Department of Pediatrics in 2012.
