    Physician Bio

    Dr. Gulnur Com is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) and Arkansas Children's Hospital (ACH). Dr. Com serves as Director of the Arkansas Children's Hospital Cystic Fibrosis Center.

    Dr. Com received her medical degree at Istanbul University Cerrahpasa, Instabul, Turkey in 1983. She completed her first residency training in General Pediatrics at Istanbul University School of Medicine in 1989 and the second at Michigan State University in 2004. She then went on to complete her fellowship in Pediatric Pulmonology at University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2007. In 2007 Dr. Com Joined the Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine Division as a full time faculty member here at Arkansas Children's Hospital.

    Dr. Com is currently board certified in General Pediatrics, Pediatric Pulmonology, & Pediatric Sleep Medicine. She is currently a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Thoracic Society, Arkansas Medical Society, American College of Chest Physicians, and American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and Turkish Pediatric Association.

    Primary Clinical Interests: Cystic Fibrosis, Long Term Ventilation and Sleep Medicine. Dr. Com is also interested in quality improvement projects that target the best care to be delivered to the patient.

    Special Interests: Early Lung Disease in Cystic Fibrosis, Cystic Fibrosis Newborn Screening, Nutritional Aspect of Cystic Fibrosis, and Non Invasive Ventilation.
