ACH Participates in USDA Summer Food Service Program Lunches Provided to Low-Income Patients & School-Age Family Members Free of Charge

LITTLE ROCK, AR. (May 29, 2013) – Arkansas Children's Hospital is proud to announce its upcoming participation in the Summer Food Service Program that will begin in June. This program will provide lunches for patient and their school-age family members at no charge to their families. The Summer Food Service Program is a USDA initiative that ensures low-income children have access to nutritious meals during school breaks.

Regardless of race, national origin, gender, age or disability, patients and school-aged family members will be given free lunches without discrimination throughout the course of the meal service. These lunches will be provided Monday through Friday in the hospital's cafeteria, between the hours of 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
