Children’s Healthcare PHO Hires Amanda Hatfield as New Director of Provider Relations

(Little Rock, Ark.) June 24, 2013 – The Children's Healthcare System Physician-Hospital Organization (PHO) has hired Little Rock native Amanda Hatfield as its new director of provider relations. Hatfield, who began serving in the position earlier this month, brings to the role a wealth of experience in provider relations and insurance contracts.

"Our relationship with insurance payors is so important to the care we deliver to the children of Arkansas," said Children's Healthcare System PHO Executive Director Beth Petlak, also Arkansas Children's Hospital vice president of Managed Care and Business Development. "Amanda's expertise will help us enhance these relationships and ensure that our pediatric services are accessible to as many Arkansas families as possible."

In her role with the PHO, Hatfield will develop and maintain the pediatric PHO provider network. She will serve as a liaison to providers and managed care contractors, and represent their concerns in advanced managed care situations.

Hatfield most recently served as network contractor for UnitedHealthcare, Inc. for Arkansas and Tennessee provider networks. She also has served as compliance coordinator for Pinnacle Business Solutions in North Little Rock and a credentialing coordinator for QualChoice Insurance.

A graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Hatfield earned a master's of business administration last year and also holds a bachelor's degree in liberal arts, humanities and social studies.
