Longitudinal Assessment of fat free mass index and its impact on lung health and overall health metrics in pediatric patients with cystic fibrosis (GAIA study)

Summary

This observational 18 month long study will follow approximately 30-70 pediatric patients receiving care at Arkansas Children's Hospital with cystic fibrosis. Study visits will correlate with scheduled clinic visits. The goal of the study is to contribute to the understanding of the relationships between BMI, muscle wasting and markers of health and well‐being in children with cystic fibrosis.

Study Eligibility

Clinically stable patients with cystic fibrosis between the ages of 7 and 17 that receive their routine CF care at Arkansas Children's Hospital are eligible to participate. Other limited eligibility criteria apply.
