Safety, Tolerability and Pharmacokinetics of Single Dose Intravenous Moxifloxacin in Pediatric Patients

Indications:

Infectious Disease Clinical Pharmacology

Study Description:

The study will use an antibiotic named moxifloxacin in children. Moxifloxacin will be given in addition to the standard antibiotic therapy they are receiving. It will be one dose and blood samples will be collected after the dose to measure the amount of moxifloxacin in the body. Children between the ages of 3 months to 14 years who are currently receiving antibiotics an infection are being enrolled.
The study requires multiple office visits and follow-up at 1 year. It includes at no cost to you or your child:

• Lab Testing
• Physical Exam
• Study Medication
