Educational Programs
Physician and Nurses
- Advanced Burn Life Support Training (ABLS), a one day didactic and practical course sponsored by the American Burn Association with an examination and certification at completion
- Lectures and presentations are available by either our nurses or physicians
- Nurses can get continuing medical education (CME) credit, and we are currently working obtaining CME credit for physicians for lectures/presentations
Emergency Medical Services/Paramedics/First Responders

- Continuing educational units (CEU) are offered through the Department of Health
Schools

International Outreach
- The Burn Center staff also participates in International Outreach and currently has projects In Mexico and India
- If you would like to participate and/or fund visits, please contact us at teaguetg@archildrens.org
- The goal of the international outreach program is primarily burn education and burn center development
Prevention Programs
- The Burn Center offers burn prevention courses for medical professionals
- Arkansas Fire-setter Intervention, Referral and Education (FIRE) program (1-866-KID-FIRE)
- The Injury Prevention Center at Arkansas Children's Hospital (501-364-3400)
