Care Provided:
- Complete physiologic and radiographic evaluation of infants and children with cardiovascular abnormalities
- Evaluation and care of congenital and acquired heart disease
- Two bi-plane angiographic suites with state-of-the-art digital angiographic systems which allow thorough evaluation of complex congenital heart problems
- Complete physiologic recording and online analysis of angiograms in the performance of both diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
- Routine diagnostic pre-surgical evaluations and biopsies for transplant patients
- Routine diagnostic evaluation of pulmonary hypertension including the use of vasodilator agents such as nitric oxide
- Interventional cardiac catheterization procedures include balloon valvuloplasty, occlusion of patent ductus arteriosus, device closure of atrial and muscular ventricular septal defects and patent foramen ovale
- Balloon angioplasty with or without stent enlargement
- Complex intracardiac electrophysiologic studies including transcatheter ablation and cryocath ablation of complex arrhythmias utilizing three dimensional mapping for exact localization of the arrhythmia
- Pacing studies and pacemaker and/or defibrillator implantations
- 24/7 care coordinated by three nurses and three radiologic technologists trained in cardiac physiology and anatomy
- Supports the cardiac surgical program
