Child Study Center
The Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, which is part of the UAMS Department of Psychiatry, offers a full range of psychiatric and mental health services for children, adolescents and families through the Child Study Center (CSC) Program, Program for Young Adults and STRIVE. The CSC Child Therapy Clinic offers brief and comprehensive evaluations, psychological evaluations and individual, family and group therapy. The Psychiatric Care Clinic is the child residency training clinic for the Child Division and offers evaluation, medication consultation and treatment. Common referral problems to CSC outpatient services include anxiety, depression, conduct and behavior problems, emotional adjustment difficulties, learning difficulties, attention problems, child management issues and other psychiatric disorders affecting children, adolescents and their families.
The Child Study Center serves children up to age 13. The Program for Young Adults serves ages 14 to 24. STRIVE is a school-based program serving school children in the North Little Rock School District.

Note: This clinic is available to your child by physician referral. Talk with your child's physician and tell him/her you would like to be referred to ACH. Have the doctor contact the Arkansas Children's Hospital Appointment Center to make a referral at 501-364-4000. If your child does not have a regular physician, please call 501-364-4000 and we will be happy to recommend one in your area.
