The 4th annual B98.5 Champions for Children Radiothon was held February 12-14 in the lobby of Arkansas Children’s Hospital.  Tears, smiles and laughter were shared and culminated in a total raised of more than $305,000 for the hospital.

Patients, families, donors and caregivers shared their stories about ACH during the Radiothon, putting into words the care, love and hope that happens every day in the hospital.  Proceeds from the Radiothon came from many sources, including pledges from Miracle Makers, sponsors and Change Angels.  This year’s Change Angels program was a tremendous success, with over 210 individuals and organizations who collected donations of change from friends, family and co-workers in the weeks leading up to the Radiothon.  This year, Change Angels raised more than $33,000 for the hospital.

Also, for the first time, B98.5 sister stations Power 92, KOKY, KARN, and Alice 107.7 held live remotes from ACH in support of the Radiothon.

B a Change Angel!
Are you an Angel?  Change Angels are a respectable bunch who “shake down” friends, family and co-workers for spare change.  Volunteers have extra time this year - from August 28, 2008 to February 10, 2009 to raise the loot, and can turn it on “Change Angel Day” (February 10th) during the Radiothon.  Contact Jennifer Selig to be a part of this heavenly gang, or sign up now.
