The specialty of Orthopaedic Oncology encompasses a broad range of bone and
soft tissue tumors, malignant tumors such as osteogenic sarcoma and soft tissue
sarcomas and benign processes such as bone cysts and exostoses. The emphasis
is on limb preservation techniques and skeletal reconstruction. New patient
evaluation will include physical examination, x-ray evaluation and comprehensive
assessment. A team approach is emphasized in all cases to include: the family,
hematology/oncology, radiation therapy, physical therapy, counseling and social
work.

Talk with your child’s physician and tell him/her you would like to be
referred to ACH. Have the doctor contact the Arkansas Children’s Hospital
Physician Referral Services Department to make a referral. If your child does
