Radiology

The department provides the following services:

Diagnostic Radiology
All diagnostic examinations can be performed. The department is staffed with four nurses and equipped with constant monitoring devices such as pulse oximetry so that critically ill and sedated infants and children can be studied.

Computerized Nuclear Medicine
Special examinations include gastric emptying determinations, diuretic renograms, studies to determine gastroesophageal reflux, bone imaging and tomographic reconstruction or SPECT capabilities.

Ultrasound
Sonography includes cranial, abdominal, pelvic, fetal age with fetal evaluation, and eye, hip and soft tissue evaluation.

Computerized Tomography (CT)
All body areas are examined.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
All MRI procedures are available with a 1.5 Tesla state-of-the-art magnet. This includes head, body and extremity imaging.

Interventional Radiology
Percutaneous procedures performed under radiologic imaging guidance to diagnose and treat vascular and non-vascular disorders.
The diagnostic section is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The other areas are on call after regular hours and on weekends. Nuclear Medicine is closed from 11 p.m. until 7 a.m.

**There is a staff radiologist on call 24 hours a day who can be reached by calling 501-364-1175.
