The Centers for Children in Lowell is a collaborative project of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) and Arkansas Children’s Hospital. (ACH) Volunteers are needed to provide assistance for visitors to the clinic and to assist with fundraising. There’s a wide array of opportunities at Centers for Children at Lowell.
Because of the nature of care that the Centers for Children at Lowell provides, all volunteers are carefully screened, processed, and placed in appropriate assignments. This process includes:
Have a TB test administered. Go back within 48-72 hours to obtain the results
Wait 2 weeks. Go back to have another TB test administered. Go back within 48-72 hours to obtain those results.
Attending a clinic orientation
Interviewing individually with a clinic representative
Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age and adhere to all clinic policies and procedures. The process for becoming a Center for Children Clinic volunteer takes time, but it is meant to ensure the safety of patient sand families as well as the success of our volunteers.
Volunteer Assignments
