Sid Dassinger, M.D. is an Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He works in the division of pediatric surgery at Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Dassinger graduated from the University Of Alabama School Of Medicine in 2000. He went on to complete his general surgery residency at Vanderbilt University and fellowship in Memphis at Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center and St Jude Children’s Research Hospital. He holds board certification in both general surgery and pediatric surgery.

Dr. Dassinger is a member of many professional societies such as the American College of Surgeons, American Pediatric Surgical Association, and International Pediatric Endosurgical Group. He has specific interests in neonatal surgery, chest wall deformities, and minimally invasive surgery.

Dr. Dassinger’s clinical and research interests include surgeon-performed ultrasound, minimally invasive surgery, and surgical safety.
