Community Support FAQ

We are incredibly grateful to those in our generous community who continue to reach out and ask how they can support our patients, families and team members during the COVID-19 threat.

Can I make an in-kind contribution?

SUPPLIES: You can purchase directly from our Walmart Registry for Good to support Patient Experience. This is the safest process for making in-kind donations during the COVID-19 threat. Our most needed items are: hygiene items, gallon Ziploc bags, teen coloring books, craft items and 8-count crayon boxes. Our patients' need for positive distractions remains vital; any donation, big or small, is so very appreciated.

EQUIPMENT: Safety is a core value at Arkansas Children’s and something we stress daily with our teams. We’re closely monitoring our supply of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and we are managing this supply well. At this time, we do not need donations of PPE.

Can I donate food to the hospital teams?

At this time we are accepting gift card donations to restaurants for our teams to utilize as needed.
We are also accepting packaged restaurant catered meals (NO buffet style) to the main entrance. Please coordinate - at least 24 hours prior to making your donation - through Volunteer Engagement (501-364-1825 or volunteer@archildrens.org) for guidelines and to schedule. (Volunteer Engagement/Community Outreach will meet vendors outside of main entrance 7 days a week and take food to specified departments.)

Are you accepting monetary donations in support of COVID-19 care and support?

We are accepting donations to support Arkansas Children’s COVID-19 Emergency Fund, which will help with needs that range from investing in equipment to providing assistance directly to families experiencing financial hardship during this crisis. Can I donate homemade facemasks?

Arkansas Children’s Hospital and Arkansas Children’s Northwest are both accepting donations of homemade cloth masks for our clinic patients and family members of patients. Donations can be made by contacting Volunteer Engagement at 501-364-1825 or volunteer@archildrens.org

Donation guidelines are as follows:

  • Masks must be fully assembled, made from either kid-savvy or solid color cloth material, and be able to be washed, as masks will be laundered prior to distribution, courtesy of our partner, Tide Cleaners.
  • We are accepting masks in both youth and adult sizes. See the below diagram (or click here) for ideas about homemade masks patterns.

Masks may also be mailed to:
