Speech-Language Pathology 30th Annual Spring Forum (Day 1)

The 30th Annual Spring Forum hosted by the ACH Speech Pathology department will provide 10.25 hours of continuing education for clinicians addressing feeding and swallowing disorders.  For clinicians working with families and young children, moving away from a directive or prescribed approach in feeding intervention towards a responsive framework can improve outcomes and instill trust between the partners involved in feeding. Presenter, Jennifer McGlothin, M.S. CCC-SLP, CLC, will share her expertise on the therapeutic relationship, delve into the evidence-base for the responsive framework approach, and help participants learn from the children who are becoming competent eaters through discussion, video, case studies and thought exercises.
