Arkansas Children’s Foundation recently received a $1 million gift to Arkansas Children’s Hospital from the estate of Linda Garner Riggs. Dr. Lamar and Linda Garner Riggs’ generosity will be celebrated in the Burn Unit at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. While the gift is one of the largest unrestricted gifts made to Arkansas Children’s Hospital, it will be used to support the greatest need by continuing to advance the mission of championing children by reaching more children in more ways where they live, learn and play.
(Little Rock) May 23, 2018 – Arkansas Children’s Foundation recently received a $1 million gift to Arkansas Children’s Hospital from the estate of Linda Garner Riggs. Dr. Lamar and Linda Garner Riggs’ generosity will be celebrated in the Burn Unit at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. While the gift is one of the largest unrestricted gifts made to Arkansas Children’s Hospital, it will be used to support the greatest need by continuing to advance the mission of championing children by reaching more children in more ways where they live, learn and play.
“Linda’s passion for kids was palpable,” said Dr. Lamar Riggs. “She held a special place in her heart for the children at Arkansas Children’s Hospital who needed life-saving care, particularly those receiving critical care in the Burn Unit. Honoring her in the Burn Unit at ACH is so meaningful for our family.”
The Burn Unit at Arkansas Children’s is the only burn specialty center in Arkansas, treating adult and pediatric burn injuries.
