On July 1, 2020, ACI launched a comprehensive innovation program with the goal of driving innovation throughout the entire organization. Among the many facets of this program is the Collaborative Research Initiative, the focus of which is to connect pediatric researchers across the country with clinicians and researchers at ACI to conduct collaborative R&D on medical devices, diagnostic platforms, digital health and therapeutics.
The nature of this collaborative research will be governed by Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (“CRADAs”) executed among the parties. The CRADAs will outline the scope of the research projects as well as the responsibilities of each party for research, intellectual property (“IP”) protection, and commercialization efforts. The CRADAs will also outline how the IP will be shared and owned.
The goal of the Collaborative Research Initiative is to expeditiously move new pediatric innovations through the R&D process and to test those innovations in live clinical settings through pilot projects and clinical trials at ACI.
For pediatric researchers around the country, this initiative offers subject matter experts in a large number of clinical and scientific areas to help move your research forward. Additionally, experienced innovation and technology transfer experts stand ready to help protect the IP and move your innovations towards successful commercialization.
