Zika Virus Surveillance Project

The Complex Care Program at Arkansas Children’s is currently working in a collaborative effort with the Arkansas Health Department and University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Center for Birth Defects in response to the CDC's requirements that states have a response plan for the Zika virus. As part of this effort, the Complex Care Program will see children born to mothers who tested positive for Zika during pregnancy for follow up care and surveillance during the first year of life. Children who are believed to have been affected by the Zika virus should be referred to the Arkansas Children's Complex Care Program.
