Clinical Trials

A clinical trial is a research study that allows volunteers to receive treatment with a drug or device currently under research testing by a pharmaceutical or biotechnology company. These companies carefully select qualified physicians who serve as "investigators” to lead the study trials.

Arkansas Children's offers opportunities to the community to participate in many studies. Use the search fields below to review the current available studies.

Title:
Nourish Study
Description:

Study Design:
The Nourish Study is a nutrition research study designed to look at how healthy meals can influence the content of breast milk. The study consists of 3 visits over 4 weeks. Each visit will last 2-4 hours. During the 4 week period, moms will be provided with all of their meals and snacks. At each visit, we will ask moms to provide a breast milk sample and we will obtain body composition measurements on both mom and baby. Moms will also be asked to complete a 3-day food record at the first visit. To thank you for your participation, a 3-month supply of diapers will also be provided.

Study Eligibility:
This is a study for healthy, breastfeeding moms with BMIs between 30 and 50 and whose infants are less than 4.5 months old.
