As a non-profit hospital, we rely generously on the support of caring community members to help us provide the highest level of care to all kids who come through our doors. New toys, books, and craft items deliver compassion and joy to children in the hospital. We are always in need of these items. We have needs lists available for our most needed items. Please see our donation guidelines. Items must be new and delivered in original packaging - and should not be labeled with identifying donor contact information.

Donations can be brought to the Volunteer Engagement office at Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock and at the front desk at Arkansas Children's Northwest in Springdale.

Craft Kits help make a child or caregiver's day by providing positive distraction. Craft Kits are used in a variety of areas throughout the hospital and clinics to make our patients and families feel welcome during their visit with us. Once you are ready to deliver your Craft Kits, please schedule a time to deliver your donation.
We are always in need of donations for the comfort and convenience of our families, many of whom have unexpected stays.
A family pack is a Ziploc bag (7-8 inches or 1 quart) full of small toiletries and personal hygiene items. Individual toiletry items can also be used (not packaged together). Travel-size items are desired for convenience. Items include:

Knitting or crocheting hats or making quilts, blankets, NICU isolette covers and small stuffed animals/pillows for children of all ages are some of the many ways you can help make patient visits brighter. Each year our talented circle of volunteer knitters, crocheters and stitchers create amazing handmade items for patients at Arkansas Children’s.

Preemies are very sensitive to light and sound and too much can cause them to lose weight, sleep less, and have sensory overload. Thicker, layered isolette covers that have dark, solid colors on one side (that faces the baby) best reduce noise, light, and visual stimulation (what the baby sees) to help the baby grow and develop like she would if she was still in the womb. Child Life Specialists use teaching dolls to help prepare a child for an upcoming procedure. The purpose of procedural teaching is to reduce anxiety and let the patient explore and ask questions about their upcoming procedure.
Patients love receiving these items in any shape or size (quilts and blankets no larger than a twin size, please). Please use soft fabrics like cotton.
