Arkansas Children's Hospital (ACH) is a pediatric hospital with a Level I Trauma Center, that’s located in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is among the largest pediatric hospitals in the United States and serves children from birth to age 21. ACH is affiliated with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and is a teaching hospital with the UAMS College of Medicine's Department of Pediatrics.
ACH staff consists of more than 505 physicians, 200 residents, and 4,400 support staff. The hospital includes 336 beds and offers three intensive care units. The campus spans 36 city blocks and has a floor space of over 2,000,000 square feet.
The 200,000 children of Northwest Arkansas now have quick, easy access to comprehensive pediatric medical care 24/7 at Arkansas Children’s Northwest (ACNW), the region’s first and only children’s hospital and pediatric emergency room. This milestone marks the first time that pediatric emergency medical services have been available where Northwest Arkansas children live, learn and play. As the fundraising arm of the Arkansas Children’s system, the Arkansas Children’s Foundation’s goal is to make friends and raise funds in support of the mission and vision. Foundation staff work in partnership with leadership to develop cases for philanthropic support and establish endowed chairs and funds. They also partner with donors to help them fulfill their desires to make transformational investments in children’s health. Through the Foundation, Arkansas Children’s is a partner with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, a nonprofit organization raising funds for more than 170 hospitals nationwide. On average, the Foundation team raises more than $30 million every year for the people, places, and programs of Arkansas Children’s.
Arkansas Children’s Research Institute (ACRI) is a free-standing pediatric research center on the ACH campus. The center is designed to help faculty members from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences investigate disease development and treatment in infants, children, and adolescents. Physician and biomedical scientist investigators at ACRI and the Arkansas Children's Nutrition Center (ACNC) research clinical, basic science, and health services to learn how to treat and prevent illnesses and diseases in children.
The Arkansas Children’s Care Network (ACCN) is changing how children across Arkansas get health care. ACCN connects all doctors treating the same child. That includes a child’s main doctor and any specialists. They work together to give the best care.
