ACNW Junior Volunteer Program

Summer 2020 Program Information

Now accepting applications!

The ACNW Junior Volunteer Program offers service opportunities for high school students (ages 14-18). Volunteers are an important part of our team; they help us deliver on our promise to provide the best experience possible to all of our patients. As a junior volunteer, you help support our mission of making children better today and healthier tomorrow.

We’re looking for junior volunteers who:

  • Believe in our mission and want to be part of carrying it out
  • Are interested in gaining experience in a hospital setting
  • Are looking for a work-life experience that they can use in the future

If you are interested in participating and are able to answer yes to the following questions, please complete an online application.

  • Will you be at least 14 by May 29?

  • Are you able to volunteer on one of the following dates: May 29, June 2, June 10 and June 18?

  • Program Requirements:
    • Complete volunteer application and packet
    • One Letter of Reference
    • 200-word reflective essay
    • Adhere to the rules and regulations

The Summer Junior Volunteer application deadline is April 1. Please note that due to the growing popularity of this program, there are a limited number of available positions and placement decisions are based upon an application process, not on a first come, first serve basis. We encourage you to complete and submit the online application as soon as possible and to be thoughtful in the completion of all application materials.

To help determine the applicant’s readiness to participate as a volunteer at Arkansas Children’s Northwest, all communication is encouraged to be handled by the applicant directly.
