The Arkansas Children’s Aerodigestive Program constructed a multidisciplinary program that specializes in the diagnosis and surgical management of pediatric upper aerodigestive problems.
The Cleft Lip and Palate Program at Arkansas Children's Hospital incorporates an interdisciplinary team, with each member specialized in pediatric care.
The Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Program at Arkansas Children's incorporates a multidisciplinary team to treat complex facial conditions.
At Arkansas Children’s, a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary Vascular Anomalies Center has been developed to diagnose and treat children and adults with congenital vascular anomalies.
The Voice Clinic at Arkansas Children's incorporates a multidisciplinary team, with each member specializing in pediatric care.
The Otolaryngology team diagnoses and treats a broad range of pediatric ear, nose and throat (ENT) conditions, from ear infections and tonsillitis to larynx reconstruction or hemangiomas.
Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a condition where breathing is affected during sleep due to obstruction of the upper airway. This occurs during sleep because the muscles in the airway relax and the airway partially closes.
Acute otitis media, or ear infections, occurs in at least 75% of children. Most children are treated with antibiotics.
Cholesteatoma is a small skin cyst which grows in the middle ear. These masses can slowly expand and destroy ear bones or the inner ear system.
