Certified Application Counselors (CAC)

ACH is an approved Certified Application Organization for the Health Insurance Marketplace with licensed counselors available to assist families with insurance needs. These counselors are licensed by the Arkansas Insurance Department as Certified Application Counselors (CAC). To contact an English or Spanish-speaking counselor, call 501-364-1230.

Certified Application Counselors can:

  • Assess and address insurance needs
  • Help complete and submit application for health coverage
  • Provide fair and impartial customer service that meets their needs
  • Provide accommodations, when requested (limited English proficiency, physical, visual or hearing limitations; mental or intellectual disabilities)
  • Facilitate the comparison of Qualified Health Plans
  • Educate consumers about eligibility and enrollment through the federal Marketplace
  • Maintain expertise in eligibility, enrollment and program specifications
  • Required to adhere to strict security and privacy standards
  • Must avoid any conflict of interest
  • Assist consumers with enrollment
