When your child has a neurological condition or needs neurological monitoring, the experts in the Neurophysiology Department at Arkansas Children’s provide highly skilled care.

Our team works with you and your doctor to help diagnose common to complex conditions from headaches to seizures. We also perform a variety of electroencephalogram (EEG) tests to carefully monitor nerve and brain activity for:

  • Neurosurgical and orthopedic procedures
  • Medical and surgical treatment of epilepsy
  • Inpatient critical care for Neonatal, Pediatric and Cardiovascular Intensive Care

We also provide other services, including electromyography (EMG) and evoked potentials tests.

  • Electromyography is a test that records the electrical activity of muscles. This is a way to check the health of the muscles and the nerves that control them.
  • Evoked potentials tests measure the electrical activity in the brain in response to sensory stimulation such as sight, sound or touch.

Our team of 14 experts is highly skilled in providing the most advanced neurophysiological care.
