Arkansas Children’s depends on volunteers to keep its promise of delivering unprecedented child health, defined and delivered.

We ask all adult volunteers to commit to one three-hour shift per week, at the same day and time, for a minimum of three months. Weekday, evening and weekend shifts are available in most patient care areas.

Volunteer Requirements

  • Provide two current 2-step TB (Tuberculosis) skin tests
  • Provide proof of current Tdap vaccine (Tetanus-Diphtheria-Pertussis) within the past ten years
  • Provide proof of a current flu shot (October - March)
  • Undergo a criminal background check

The process for becoming an Arkansas Children’s volunteer takes time, but it is meant to ensure the safety of patients and families as well as the success of our volunteers.
