Qualifications for this position:

  • M.D. or equivalent degree
  • Candidates must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Arkansas
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Neurology with special qualification in Child Neurology

Arkansas Children’s Comprehensive Pediatric Epilepsy Program is the only program in the state with a National Association of Epilepsy Centers (NAEC) Level 4 accreditation.

Revolutionary Gene Therapies Offer New Hope for Boys with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy

Aravindhan Veerapandiyan, M.D., known as “Dr. Panda,” a pediatric neurologist at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock, is leading gene therapy clinical trials for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). While DMD has no cure, Dr. Panda’s trials are working to slow the progression of the disease and allow families to help their child manage it better.
