Advanced neuroimaging allows our epilepsy specialists to see images of the brain for diagnostic and monitoring benefits for our young patients. By using the following noninvasive imaging tests, our specialists can see the structure and functionality of the brain:

  • Three Tesla Magnetic Resonance Imaging (3T MRI): Providing a more accurate analysis for a whole-brain epilepsy evaluation, this more advanced 3T MRI detects structural brain abnormalities
  • Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI)
  • Functional magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
  • Positron Emission Tomography (PET)
