SPRINGDALE, AR. (May 23, 2024) – EZ Spanish Media, the parent company of KSEC, La Zeta 95.7 FM in Springdale, raised $112,934 for Arkansas Children's in the annual Creadores de Milagros (Miracle Makers) Radiothon held May 17-19.
Over the last 14 years, EZ Spanish Media's annual radiothons have raised more than $3 million for Arkansas Children's.
As a Children's Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals partner, the funds raised during the radiothon will have a profound impact on Arkansas Children's ability to provide high-quality health care to children across the state. Taylor Speegle, executive director of philanthropy for Arkansas Children's Foundation, emphasizes that Arkansas Children's Northwest has been able to make a significant difference in the region thanks to the generosity of people like Eddie Vega, owner of EZ Spanish Media.
"The success of this annual radiothon is a testament to the dedication and compassion of the listeners and the entire EZ Spanish Media team," said Speegle. "We're especially grateful to Eddie Vega, who goes above and beyond to ensure this event is a success each year. Thank you for being champions for children."
During the two-day event, radio DJs encouraged listeners to support Arkansas Children's by sharing facts about the health care system and interviewing those whose lives have been directly impacted by Arkansas Children's. Vega says EZ Spanish Media is committed to giving back to the community and supporting organizations that improve children's lives.
"Our listeners consistently show up to support Arkansas Children's," Vega said. "The weekend was full of compelling stories from people who have experienced great care at the hospital. It is gratifying to host this event and inspire community generosity."

ABOUT CHILDREN’S MIRACLE NETWORK HOSPITALS
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals was founded more than 40 years ago with the vision to Change Kids’ Health, Change the Future. We’ve raised over $9 billion for 170 children’s hospitals by empowering and engaging with local communities and businesses – and we’re not done yet. All donations benefit local member hospitals to fund what’s needed most, like critical life-saving treatments and health care services, innovative research, vital pediatric medical equipment, child life services that put kids’ and families’ minds at ease during difficult hospital stays, and financial assistance for families who could not otherwise afford these health services. Together, we can change kids’ health. Together, we can change the future. To learn about Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and your local member children’s hospital, visit cmnhospitals.org.
