The LINK is a research collaboration hub at Arkansas Children’s Research Institute that connects scientists and communities to strengthen the relevance, feasibility and impact of research.

This program supports investigators by integrating community engagement and implementation science into research design, execution and dissemination. By providing established engagement infrastructure, trusted community partnerships and implementation expertise, the LINK helps research teams translate discoveries into real-world practice.

Including this program as a research partner strengthens projects at every stage—from proposal development through dissemination.

Taren Massey-Swindle, Ph.D.

Dr. Massey-Swindle is the director of The Link at Arkansas Children’s Research Institute and an Associate Professor in Pediatrics within the College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Broadly, her research focuses on implementation of evidence-based programs for child and family health in community settings. Her work to date has focused on the early care and education setting as a key context for obesity prevention and nutrition promotion. She is interested in increasing adoption of evidence-based practices and interventions through the application of Community Engaged Dissemination and Implementation Science.
