The ACRI/ABI Postgraduate Grant intramural grant mechanism was created to support investigator-initiated, hypothesis-driven (goal-directed) research directed by trainees conducting pediatric research. Eligible candidates include those with M.D., Ph.D., M.D./Ph.D, PharmD, or PharmD/Ph.D. degrees who are in their second year of postgraduate training. The ACRI/ABI Nursing and Allied Health Research Grant intramural grant mechanism was created to support investigator-initiated, hypothesis-driven (goal-directed) research directed by nurses and allied health professionals conducting pediatric research on an Arkansas Children's, Inc, campus. Eligible candidates include those with a terminal professional degree required for their discipline. If the applicant is pursuing a graduate degree, that applicant must include a detailed mentoring plan and a mentoring statement by an Arkansas Children's staff member. Click here to view the RFA. >

The Marion B. Lyon New Scientist Development Award

A generous gift from a private donor endows the Marion B. Lyon New Scientist Development Program. This program was established to support highly promising beginning scientists who are working to become independent investigators but who have yet to receive specific types of NIH funding. Eligible candidates must hold MD, PhD, or have equivalent doctoral degree earned at the time of submission (at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor) and must be based full time on an Arkansas Children's, Inc, campus. ACRI Bridge Funding Program

The ACRI Bridge Funding Program provides short-term funding to investigators experiencing a temporary gap in extramural support following submission of a competitive independent investigator award or program project grant application. The program helps investigators maintain research momentum, address reviewer feedback, generate additional data, and strengthen revised grant applications. Awards of up to $100,000 are available for a period of up to 12 months to support critical research activities during the funding gap. Click here to view the RFA. >
