When your child needs care right away, you jump in the car and head to the closest emergency room (ER). What you might not know is that Arkansas Children’s Northwest in Springdale and Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock have pediatric emergency departments (ED) that are specially equipped to offer kid-sized care when your family needs it most. At both locations, you can be confident your child will receive the best kid-savvy care from pediatric experts.

We use state-of-the-art technology and know how to communicate with kids to help them have a positive experience while in our care. Careful thought is given to the entire patient experience. We want to provide not only the best medical care possible, but also excellent customer service and emotional support when needed.

A few important reminders during this COVID-19 season:

Currently, our visitor policy allows for one adult caregiver per patient. Please leave your other children with a caregiver or family member before coming to the hospital. We certainly understand emergency situations may make this difficult and will work with families as needed to ensure your child gets the best care possible.

From deep cleaning practices to universal masking requirements, we are working hard to ensure our hospitals and clinics are as safe as possible for you and your family. Speaking of masks, please bring one for you and your child. All visitors, including patients over the age of two who can put on and remove masks without help, are required to wear masks while in our facilities. If you do not have a mask, we will provide a new, unused mask at the door.

Thank you for trusting us with your child’s care and for following our visitor policies. Click here for more details about our visitor policies during COVID-19.
