Pediatric Neuromuscular Neurologist
Arkansas Children's Hospital (Little Rock)
Arkansas Children’s, in partnership with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), is seeking a pediatric neuromuscular neurologist. The successful candidate will join the state’s only pediatric health system and play a key role in shaping the future of children’s health in our region.
Position Info & Program Highlights
Join an established multidisciplinary team of 18 neurologists, two research scientists and five APRNs, with access to advanced diagnostics, coordinated care pathways, and integrated subspecialty collaboration within the Section of Neurology, delivering comprehensive neuromuscular and general pediatric neurology clinical services in the outpatient and inpatient settings. Qualifications for this position:
- M.D. or D.O. (or equivalent)
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Child Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN)
- Fellowship training in Pediatric Neuromuscular Medicine and/or demonstrated expertise in pediatric neuromuscular disorders
- ABPN subspecialty board certification in Neuromuscular Medicine and/or Electrodiagnostic Medicine, or certification-eligible
- Eligible for unrestricted Arkansas medical licensure
- Commitment to academic medicine, including teaching, mentorship and scholarly activity
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and to provide family-centered care
- Interest in clinical trials, translational research or quality improvement initiatives (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to care delivery
