Megan Patterson, MD

Megan Patterson, M.D., a pediatric allergist and immunologist at Arkansas Children's Northwest in Springdale and Arkansas Children's Northwest Allergy Clinic in Rogers. Her clinical focus spans food allergy, atopic dermatitis, asthma and allergic diseases in children. She combines evidence-based diagnostics and treatment with a commitment to improving the quality of life for pediatric patients and their families.

Dr. Patterson has presented her work at national conferences, and her research has been published in leading journals, including the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology and the Journal of Asthma. Her medical interests are wide-ranging, with particular focus on the impact of antibiotic exposure on the airway and gut microbiome development, food insecurity in allergic populations and the management of eosinophilic esophagitis.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in neuroscience from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tenn., before completing her Doctor of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, where she graduated with the highest scholastic GPA in her class and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Dr. Patterson completed her pediatric residency at Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock and UAMS, serving as chief resident. She earned recognition for outstanding performance in both emergency medicine and research. At Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, she completed a fellowship in allergy and immunology and trained at the Center for Asthma Research under nationally recognized investigator Tina Hartert, M.D., M.P.H.

A fellow of both the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, Dr. Patterson holds dual board certification in allergy/immunology and pediatrics.
