Dr. Wilkins received her MD degree from Baylor College of Medicine and completed general pediatrics residency and pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at UAMS/Arkansas Children’s Hospital. She practices clinically in the ACH Emergency Department.

Her interest in simulation began with her involvement in pediatric resident education, developing and facilitating mock code scenarios. Her experience with this led her to expand from trainee education to professional development and quality improvement goals by developing interprofessional simulations for the emergency department faculty and staff. Dr. Wilkins completed a graduate certificate in healthcare simulation from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and assumed the role of Medical Director of the Arkansas Children’s Simulation Education Center in 2025.
