Katherine Travis is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). She provides pediatric orthopedic care at Arkansas Children's Hospital.

Travis earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Arkansas in 1998. She went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Pediatric Nurse Practitioner-Acute Care at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 2014.

Travis joined Arkansas Children's Hospital as a registered nurse, where she provided direct patient care and participated in staff education and leadership activities on the surgical inpatient unit. She has continued to grow within Arkansas Children's Hospital, advancing to her current role as an advanced practice registered nurse. She has also served as a clinical nurse with the Arkansas Air National Guard since 2007, where she oversees multiple programs including case management and the education and training of nurses and medics. Travis previously served as an adjunct nursing clinical instructor at the University of Central Arkansas, where she supervised junior-level nursing students in pediatric patient care.
