Dr. Sean Morell is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic hand surgeon specializing in pediatric hand, wrist and elbow conditions at Arkansas Children's. He provides nonsurgical and surgical care for a wide range of pediatric upper extremity conditions, from congenital differences to complex trauma.

Dr. Morell's clinical focus includes pediatric hand, wrist, and elbow trauma, congenital differences, thumb hypoplasia transfers and pollicization, syndactyly releases, polydactyly reconstruction, nerve repair and grafting, tendon transfers and releases, tendon repair for spasticity, and complex pediatric upper extremity fracture fixation.

Dr. Morell earned his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where he also completed his orthopedic surgery residency, receiving the Carl L. Nelson, M.D., Resident Leadership Award. He went on to complete a fellowship in hand surgery at the University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine.

He holds board certification from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and carries subspecialty certification in Surgery of the Hand — a distinction reserved for orthopedic surgeons who have demonstrated advanced qualifications in hand surgery through additional training and a high volume and diversity of hand surgery cases. He serves as an assistant professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Dr. Morell is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, the American Association for Hand Surgery, and the Arkansas Orthopaedic Society.

Outside of work, Dr. Morell enjoys biking, tennis, woodworking and spending time with his family.
