Research Overview

Dr. Goudie joined ACRI in 2011. His primary research home is in the Center for Applied Research and Evaluation and in 2015 he assumed the role of Director of Research and Evaluation at the Arkansas Center for Health Improvement. His current research is focused on building and using linked longitudinal databases to answer big data and life course research questions requiring modern methods, including predictive modeling and microsimulation. He is the lead evaluator on a Centers for Medicaid and Medicare (CMS) Section 1115 Demonstration Waiver studying the implications of using premium assistance to expand Medicaid in the Arkansas adult population. In this capacity he has been an invited speaker at numerous national symposia and conferences studying the impact of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. He is also lead evaluator on the UAMS Project for Adolescent and Child Evaluations (PACE) compiled for the Arkansas Department of Youth Services and the Community-Based Autism Liaison and Training (CoBALT) project in Arkansas.
