Research Overview

Dr. Avaritt is the director of the Developmental Proteomics Laboratory (DPL) in the Center for Translational Pediatric Research at Arkansas Children's Research Institute. The mission of the DPL is to provide access to state-of-the-art mass spectrometry and data analysis for the entire Arkansas Children's Hospital (ACH) research community. We endeavor to create a collaborative research environment that compliments and expands current research programs at ACH through consultation, sample preparation, and data interpretation for proteomic studies, utilizing clinical and scientific specimens. The DPL is also dedicated to creating novel methodologies and approaches for the study of pediatric diseases and to sharing these discoveries throughout the ACH research community.
